How To Register: Step-by-Step
1. USA Hockey Registration (All Players)
- Every player must register with USA Hockey prior to proceeding with club registration.
2. Crossbar Player Info & Commitment Registration (All Players)
This is where you provide player information and commit to the season.
- Ignore the "Merchant account not approved" message: You might see a message like "Merchant account has not yet been approved for payments. You may continue through registration for testing purposes but you will be unable to complete a paid registration at this time." Please ignore this! We do not use Crossbar for payments. Just continue with your registration as normal.
- Crossbar will automatically verify your player's USA Hockey Registration number.
- Fill out and sign all required forms.
- Answer all questions.
- For transfer players, completing this step acts as your application to our club.
3. Payment Registration
Transferring players: You must receive an approval from us before completing this payment registration. Per CAHA rules, July 1st is the earliest a transfer player can fully register with a new club!
- Find Your Payment Link: During the Crossbar registration process, you'll find age-specific payment links. If you missed it, these links are also in your Crossbar registration confirmation email. Click on the appropriate link for your player's age group.
- Log In/Create Account: Log in to your existing account or create a new one, then add any family members you wish to register.
- Enroll Player: Click "Enroll," select the player you want to register, and then click "Save."
- Add-Ons: An "Add-Ons" window should pop up. If it doesn't, simply click "Enroll" again, then "Unselect" your player, "Select" them again, and click "Save." This should trigger the pop-up. Select all applicable add-ons for your player.
- YMCA Waivers: Complete all required YMCA waivers.
- Submit Payment: Proceed to submit your payment. You can find details on our payment plan options explained below.
- Credit Card Payments: Please note that payments made via credit card will incur a 3% processing fee. This fee will be clearly displayed before you confirm your payment.
- ACH/Debit Card Payments: To avoid the 3% processing fee, we highly recommend using the ACH option or a debit card for your payment. These methods do not incur any additional processing fees.
- Important: After completing your payment, please return to Crossbar to finalize your Player Info and Commitment registration.
4. Optional Insurance Registration:
You have the option to protect your registration fees with Vertical Insure!
Understanding Add-Ons
AA/Top Team Tryout Fee:
- If your player wants to try out for an AA team or the top team within their age group (which might be an A team), you must add this add-on. These teams have separate tryouts, and only players who sign up will be considered.
- Cost: $50
Thursday Morning Skills Sessions:
- Cost: $485 for Y-members, $525 for non-members
- Schedule: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM, from September 4, 2025, to February 26, 2026 (no sessions during holiday weeks)
Official Game Jerseys & Socks:
- Full Uniform: $200
- Jerseys Only: $145
- Socks Only: $65

How to Purchase Add-Ons
Sizing for uniforms and other gear is selected during the Crossbar registration. Payment for these items is then submitted in the YMCA payment system during the add-on portion of registration.
Look for a pop-up window right after selecting your player to choose your add-ons. If this window doesn't appear, simply click "Enroll" again, then "Unselect" your player, "Select" them again, and click "Save." The pop-up window should then appear.
Payement Plan Options
Payment Plan (Default Option)
This option splits your total into manageable installments:
- 8U Open and 8U Select: Your payment will be divided into 8 even payments (an initial payment plus 7 subsequent payments from July 30, 2025, to January 30, 2026).
- 10U-18U (Deposit + Add-ons): Your total will be split into 8 payments (an initial payment plus 7 even payments from June 30, 2025, to December 30, 2025).
Important: Please make sure the "Use this for future payments too" checkbox is selected. This ensures all your installments are processed automatically!
If you register after any future payments have already been due, those amounts will simply be added to your initial payment, and your regular payment schedule will continue from there.
Pay In Full
To pay your entire balance upfront:
- Click on "Pay Future Due."
- Then, click "Select All."
- Next, click "Continue."
- Finally, click "Make Payment," choose from your stored accounts or add a new payment method, and then click "Next" to complete your payment.
Returning vs. Transferring Players
Returning Players
If you played with our club in the 2024-2025 season, please complete both the Crossbar registration and the payment registration.
Transferring Players
If you played for another club in the 2024-2025 season, you are considered a transferring player. Please complete the Crossbar registration first, as this acts as your player transfer application. Do not complete the payment registration until your application is approved.
Per CAHA rules, July 1st is the earliest a transfer player can fully register with a new club.
2025-2026 Season
This one registration covers all of these options:
1. 8U Open Full-Season
2. 8U Select Full-Season
3. 10U-18U Tier II/RMHF/CRHL Season Deposit
4. Player Transfer Application (If you're a transferring player, complete this registration now, but hold off on the payment!)
